(OTCBB:OMTL), a leading provider of document capture and handling solutions, today announced the expansion of its legal portfolio at LegalTech in New York as well as at the Legal IT Conference in London later this week. Omtool has added a variety of new customers to its base of more than 250 legal customers, which includes about 50 percent of the top 100 U.S. law firms. Additionally, the company has expanded its AccuRoute product line and its legal product suite, with the delivery of a new XML Store Connector, Barcode Data Extractor, and the AccuRoute DMS Conversion Tool.

In parallel at their LegalTech booth (# 321-325), the company will be demonstrating the latest innovations of its legal product suite. Some new features include:

• XML Store Connector – A new product extension integrating scanned metadata into any enterprise content management (CM) and document management systems (DMS) that can accept XML-based files, greatly extending the reach of AccuRoute product integrations.
• Barcode Data Extractor – AccuRoute can locate and process barcodes embedded in image files. It efficiently detects, reads, and captures standard barcode (1D and 2D) data, passing it through to other applications as metadata for that document.
• DMS Conversion Tool – This powerful and flexible batch processing program identifies and extracts image files from Interwoven Worksite® (for example), converts them to text-searchable PDFs, and re-saves them into the DMS.
